This is a brand-new audio novelization of a classic Doctor Who TV adventure, which originally starred Tom Baker as the Doctor. From the pen of the original script writer David Fisher, The Stones of Blood is set in 20th-century Dorset, where the ancient Cailleach has exerted her powers throughout the ages.

The Doctor, Romana, and K9 team up with Professor Amelia Rumford and/5. Romana, the Doctor and K-9 begin their adventure on Earth, where blood sacrifices are being made to huge stones. The huge stones walk around and kill people sometimes, but that's not the weird bit--all of this is part of an escape plan of an evil alien trapped in a hyperspace prison/5(10).

The third of six stories in the Key to Time sequence (the second, the Pirate Planet, was never novelised), this story sees the TARDIS taking the Doctor, Romana and K9 to modern day Earth where the trace of the segment suddenly vanishes.

Instead, they find a ring of standing stones, large footprints, an archaeological survey, and a cult of druids.4/4(1). Long ago, six huge monoliths were arranged in a half circle, with an altar stone in the center.
